About The Reed & Pickup

It's late Autumn, the icy grip of Winter is almost at hand. Late evening and you're just getting off work. The rain is lashing down, so heavy the droplets are bouncing off the road. You come across a bar.

It looks a little run down, but it calls itself the Reed & Pickup and seems charming enough in its own way. You step inside.

It's dark, but the atmosphere is strangely comforting. The barman looks across, beckons you over. "What will you be having?"

"A Scotch, on the rocks".

"Coming right up..."

You grab a seat at the bar and start to unwind. On a small stage in the corner a band is playing...

The Reed & Pickup is a place for the author to discover all that the world of jazz has to offer. From time to time we will also branch out into rock, metal and even tech-death, which actually has a lot in common with jazz. No, really.
