An April Fools Done Right
If you have been following along at home, lately I’ve been prattling on about the 90s internet for the past couple of posts, railing against the constant enshittification of the internet and the mind-boggling greed of some of the biggest companies in the world right now.
April Fools Day is one of those days where you can never quite trust what you see on the internet, which admittedly in 2026 takes some doing. However, Kagi, the premium search engine knocked everyone out of the water with this masterpiece.
I’ll have more to say on Kagi another time, but I just wanted to file this one for posterity. Seeing the Kagi homepage in the style of a mid-90s search engine was a joy to behold.
